Urgent Care Closing Update
Effective April 1, 2020, Lowville Urgent Care, on the top floor of the medical office building at 5402 Dayan Street, will be closing permanently.
One of our providers, Amanda Smith was offered an excellent opportunity elsewhere, and she has accepted that position with our support. She is a beloved member of our team who will be greatly missed by the staff as well as her patients, some of whom she has seen for thirteen years.
We recognize that this is an especially difficult time to make this transition, and are grateful that our friends at Lewis County Health System have developed an important resource for COVID testing in the community, which can be accessed by calling the COVID-19 Resource Line at 315-376-9678.
Fortunately, Troy Moser, RPA remains with our group and has readily transitioned to providing primary care at Lowville Medical Associates, working alongside Dr. Steve Lyndaker, Dr. Shereen Palmer, Dr. Mary Lou Feilmeier, Dr. Kathryn McHugh, Dyana Manning, RPA, and Melissa Muha, FNP.
In an effort to serve at least some of our former urgent care patients, the providers at Lowville Medical Associates will be open to urgent care patients in good standing who wish to establish for primary care with multiple commercial insurance plans, including Excellus Blue Cross, UMR, MVP, and Empire Plan, among others. If you are interested, please call 315-376-4600.
Additionally, the clinics of the Lewis County Health System have capacity for their primary care patients who are ill and can be contacted at 315-376-5086.
To our patients at Lowville Medical Associates, we understand the loss in convenience that comes with closing Urgent Care. Plans are underway to expand our scheduled Saturday morning appointments from monthly to weekly to better serve you. We will continue to provide updates through the patient portal and Facebook.
Finally, we want to express a heartfelt thank you to all the patients of Lowville Urgent Care who have given our providers, nurses and administrative staff the joy and privilege of working together for six and a half years to care for you, in the center of this wonderful community.
